Enrolment in preschool

How to enrol your child?

To enrol your child into our preschool, you need to fill in an enrolment form which you can get at the Administration office or on this website in the section Forms (the content is only available in Slovenian). You should then submit the filled-in form to the preschool Administration office in person or via registered mail (Vrtec PEDENJPED, Cerutova ulica 6, 1000 Ljubljana). The preschool is accepting children throughout the entire year, depending on the vacancies. However, the main enrolment date each year is 1 September. The application should be submitted to the Pedenjped Preschool Administration office no later than by the date set by the City of Ljubljana (MOL).

Only the most actual form templates will be accepted so pay attention to the date on the form which should correspond to the school year for which you are enrolling your child.

After receiving the form, the preschool administration will issue a receipt on acceptance.

If the preschool will receive more applications then there are vacancies, the Commission for the acceptance of children will decide on the order of priority of each application. This shall be done in line with the criteria defined in the Decree amending and supplementing the Decree on acceptance of children in preschools.

All accepted children will be introduced into their groups from 1 September onwards and individually throughout the year. The number of newly-included children will be coordinated with the number of vacancies.

ReSERVATION

All parents may submit their request for a vacancy reservation for the period from 1 June to 30 September for the child’s absence from the preschool which must last at least 1 month but no longer than 2 months altogether. If the child does not reside in the municipality of Ljubljana, the residing municipality administration must also give their consent to pay the difference between the reservation amount and the original programme price. Such reservation must be submitted in writing to your child’s preschool teacher at least 1 week before the first day of the absence. WITHDRAWAL

You can withdraw your child at any time during the school year. Please, note the 15-days notice period. You can obtain the withdrawal form at the preschool staff or on this website in the section Forms (the content is only available in Slovenian).

Children that will finish their preschool to continue their education in a grammar school should also be withdrawn from preschool.
